mladi17Pozivamo vas da se prijavite na trening: “Learning on International Voluntary Projects” koji će se održati u Budimpešti, od 24.-31. oktobra u organizaciji SAVA radne grupe unutar SCI koja obuhvata većinu ogranaka na Balkanu, a njene aktivnosti su usmerene ka povećanju kapaciteta, znanja i iskustvu organizovanja i vođenja volonterskih projekata, organizacija i sl. Ovaj trening omogućuje učesnicima da se aktivnije uključe u aktivnosti VCV, pa i SCI kroz regionalne aktivnosti koje sprovodi SAVA grupa, a to uključuje vođenje kampova, omladinskih razmena, dalje treninge i usavršavanja na ovom polju itd. SAVAWorking Group of SCI International is glad to invite you to apply for participation in the Study Session “Learning on International Voluntary Projects”, in Budapest (Hungary) from 24th till 31st of October 2010. The session is organized by the member organizationsof SAVA WG in cooperation with the European Youth Centre Budapest  supported by the Council of Europe (CoE),
Directorate of Youth and Sport (DYS).

The study session is developed to complement the need of the working group and its members to provide more space for reflection and skills development of youth workers to be able to support the learning within international voluntary projects. The experientiallearning as such has been inserted and defined within the working group strategy,  so the study session will have the aim to contribute to it.

Aims and objectives

The aim of the study session is to explore the possibility of youth workers on voluntary activities to support the learning within intercultural / international voluntary projects.

Objectives:
– To identify different possibilities for non-formal and informal learning on intercultural and international volunteering projects.
– To develop competences to facilitate learning on intercultural / international volunteer projects
– To understand the role of international / intercultural voluntary experiences in promoting the core values of the SAVA working group
– Provide space to share best practices on how to support the learning during international voluntary projects
– Support the networking and development of quality follow-up activities between the participants from different SAVA member organizations, partner organizations and other organizations
– Introduce participants to different learning opportunities within the Council of Europe Directorate of Youth and Sport.

Working methods and programmes

The programme of the study session will be based on non-formal education principles and practices. A team of experienced facilitators will design and carry out the programme of the session. The programme will include the following elements:
– Introduction to Non-Formal Education and  Learning with special emphasis on what is non-formal and informal learning; dealing with learning outcomes and supporting learning on intercultural/international volunteer projects
– Intercultural learning and acceptance
– Exploring concepts related to values of SAVA WG: Volunteerism, Peace, Human Rights, and Environmental Awareness
– Sharing best practices on tools to support learning on intercultural/international projects
– Planning of follow-up suggestions and projects

Profile of participants

– 18-30 years old
– Able to work in English
– Motivated to attend the entire duration of the Study Session
– Experience in participation in international voluntary projects as participant or organizer and/or experience in local community development projects
– Interested in planning,leading,participating in local and international voluntary projects
– Interested in working with SAVAworking group of SCI and/or Balkan region in general
– Coming from one of the Council of Europe member states. Please note that limited number of places is also available for participants from other countries (Asian and African as well)

Practical informations

Where: The European Youth Centre Budapest, Hungary
Arrival: Sunday, October 24, 2010  (no later than 18:00)
Departure: Sunday, October 31, 2010 after breakfast
Language: The working language will be English.

Accommodation and meals will be provided and paid for by the Council of Europe at the EuropeanYouth Centre Budapest. Participants will be accommodated in double rooms.

Participation fee: The participation fee for the study session is 50 € per person. This amount will bededucted from the amount reimbursed forthe travel expenses.

Application forms are to be sent to the SAVA Working group by email to  sava.studysession@gmail.com by the 8th of September. 30 participants will be selected on the basis of their applications and ensuring a balance in terms of gender, organizational participation and backgrounds.
