Youth Cultural Center – Bitola will organize the sixth edition of the International Youth Art Festival "Bitola Open City 2007".It will be held from 22-25 of August 2007 in Bitola, Macedonia. The concept of the festival includes multimedia performances, intercultural cooperation, cultural decentralization, new approach
towards cultural policy and presentations of different cultural genres on open stages (City Park, Alternative Coffee Bars).
The program includes and supports the following:
1. Concerts of ambience, jazz, ethno and world music
2. International exhibition of art photography, comics and mail art
3. Presentation of short video-art movies from young artists
4. Big music happening (massive stage on location in the city center that include rock, punk, alternative bands)
5. DJ's on open air or local music clubs
6. Theater and multimeadija performances (new theater forms, pantomime, video art and dance theater) on open air (squares, streets)
General conditions:
– to fit in 7 above mentioned points
– never before performed in Bitola, Macedonia
We will cover the following costs:
– Transport costs (cheapest way of travel: minivan, car, bus, train)
– Accommodation of maximum two days
– Pocket money and artist fee upon previous agreement in accordance with the budget of the festival
Important remarks:
– We will accept low-budget projects, flexible and with no major stage equipment, but original in their concept
– One organization can apply with maximum two events (projects)
