Purpose of this training:
International training “Active participation of unemployed young people facing economic obstacles” will gather young people who faced with different financial obstacles, rarely have a chance to participate in international events for young people.
This 6-day training (excluding travel days) is going to be organized in City of Nis, Serbia.
We are organizing this training because we feel that unemployed young people facing economic obstacles aren’t that very much motivated to actively participate in civic or social processes. However we also feel that without some level of activeness in their lives, chances that these young people will improve their financial standing are not so good like these would be if they were more active in civic or social processes in their communities.
That is why this training will aim to positively influence such young people and motivate them for active participation making them realize benefits coming out of active participation.
Profile of the participants:
The training course will bring together 32 young men and women from Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania. The project targets young people who are long-term unemployed and is especially intended for those young people who never had a chance to participate in international events for young people.
Working languages of the training will be Serbian and English. Simultaneous interpretation service will be provided for those participants who don’t speak Serbian or English.
Venue:
Training will be hosted in Regional center for professional development in City of Nis.
Nis is easily accessible and is on the route of largest railroad and highway routes in Serbia.
All participants will have to come to Nis in their own arrangement by bus, train and (in rare cases and with prior agreement by us) by airplane.
70% of total travel costs incurred will be reimbursed. However, considering that participants with financial difficulties will receive a modest personal expense contribution, this will in reality mean that such participants will be able to cover 100% of their travel costs.
Travel costs reimbursement will only be possible in the amount of presented bus/train tickets! Participants are strongly encouraged to buy return tickets whenever possible.
More specific info concerning all logistical issues will be given to selected participants.
Selection notification is expected by May 2nd 2011, at the latest.
