Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria The American University in Bulgaria is organizing an Educational Summer Camp from July 4 to July 24, 2010 in the town of Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.

The Camp is open to high school students 14 – 18 years of age who have an intermediate or higher level of knowledge of the English language. The program includes 5 educational courses: Writing Skills, Business, Computer Skills, Individual Development and Community Skills, and Journalism. Each course is one week long and will be taught in English. Each student will select in advance and take 3 out of these 5 courses.Afternoon classes, sports, excursions, movie nights, disco nights, and other activities are also included in the Camp program to make it both intensive and entertaining. Students will work with a team of American teachers and local educational specialists. Those students who successfully complete the program and strictly follow the camp rules will receive a Certificate of attendance from the American University in Bulgaria.

The Camp Fee is 510 EURO, and covers:

·         A variety of academic morning and afternoon classes

·         Sports and recreation activities in the afternoon and evening

·         Teaching materials

·         Access to AUBG computer laboratories

·         Accommodation for 20 days with Internet access

·         Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 20 days

·         Excursions to the Rila Monastery and Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria

·         Entrance fees to cultural and sports facilities

 

 Registration deadline: June 20, 2010

Teachers who bring 10 students to the camp receive free room and board for the 3 weeks of the camp.
