“Empower Serbia” is an intensive, non-partisan four-day curriculum that is open to people between the ages of 18 and 30 who are interested in gaining leadership and advocacy skills. The focus of the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) is the development and sharpening of leadership, advocacy, management, strategic planning and policy development skills for young leaders in Serbia.
Through a series of seminars, round tables and plenary sessions participants will gain leadership experience as they develop a professional network of friends and colleagues focused on the bringing positive change to Serbia.
Participants will be high energy and committed people from NGOs, small businesses, advocacy groups and political parties who posses exceptional professional, personal and are familiar with Microsoft Office software. Note: Some workshops will be conducted entirely in English.
YLA teachers are drawn from several educational, economic development and government organizations with international experts in social policy, advocacy, government administration and business development. These include the Preparedness, Planning and Economic Security (PPES) and the Serbia Economic Growth Activity (SEGA) programs funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

* Negotiations & Consensus Building * Message Development

* Advocacy & Lobbying – Building Coalitions * Public Policy Development
