We are continuing with the Erasmus + Permaculture as a Path to Peace project a.k.a 3PEAS 2.0, implemented by our partner GAIA Kosovo ! This time, we are inviting you to participate to a seminar on Social Permaculture which will take place in Humilišani, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our facilitator will be Barbara Scheltus from the permaculture farm Bogata Šuma in Croatia. She has been working with permaculture ethics and principles for more than 15 years now.
This 7-day workshop will take place between 16th and 27th of September 2021. The exact dates will be confirmed after the selection of participants.
About the workshop
Permaculture is about designing with nature, by observing her functions, patterns, connections, and systems. Social permaculture is about growing, protecting, and cultivating thriving people and environments. It is about creating a healthier and happier ecosystem for a peaceful, connective life and a positive, regenerative future.
In this workshop we will work with permaculture ethics and principles to help us make sustainable choices for a more peaceful world. We will use Looby Macnamara’s Design Web as a method, with a nice balance between theory and practice. The Design Web is an effective toolkit that translates the use of permaculture ethics & principles and helps you design for people-based systems.
During the course, you will make a personal design for an aspect of your life that you want to improve, and you will make a group design. The group designs are done in small groups with people from the same work field, so you can design a way to improve your work as well.
We will start with getting familiar with each other and with permaculture as a design system. We will speak about ethics and your personal values, and about (permaculture) principles as decision-making tools.
When designing, we state our intention for what we want to manifest. We close the gap between where we are and the vision of where we want to go, by creating a plan of the steps in between. By writing down your dreams and goals, you activate the process of becoming the person you want to be. Put your future in good hands: your own!
Facilitator Barbara Scheltus will walk you through the Design Web, give many examples and support you in making your own design. And together we can work towards a better world for.
