Description
The United Nations Democracy Fund invites civil society organizations to apply for funding for projects to advance and support democracy during the annual proposal window, which is open only from 15 November to 31 December at www.un.org/democracyfund Only on-line proposals during this period, in either English or French, will be accepted.
Eligibility
Organizations working in the areas of media, youth, women, democratization, community development, and rule of law and human rights are eligible
Grant
Project grants range between US$100,000 and US$300,000.
Application
Projects that are two years long are accepted. Project proposals must fall under one or more of six main areas: media, youth, women, democratization, community development, and rule of law and human rights.
Proposals must be submitted online in either English or French.
The deadline is Dec. 31.
