kulThe Center for Career Development and Student Counseling of the University of Belgrade invites you to apply for vacancy in World Vision Partnership, Job Title: : Child Protection Advocate

Job Description: The overarching purpose of this position is to generate and drive World Vision Serbia’s strategic actions to increase the quantity and quality of government sponsored child welfare and protection services. To achieve this purpose, this position requires the following actions:

  • Work in partnership and in tandem with other World Vision National Offices in the region to create new or enhanced child welfare and protection services for government adoption.

  • Partner with civil society and government stakeholders to advocate for the adoption of new or enhanced child welfare and protection services.

Help coordinate World Vision Serbia’s participation and recruitment of other civil society stakeholders in a regional advocacy coalition for child welfare reform.

Location: Serbia

Salary: USD16000-17000 per year

Requirements / Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess a university degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Social Sciences (Law, Political Science, Human Rights, International Relations, Public Policy). She/He should have at least three years experience in the broader field of advocacy and policy analysis, with ideally some experience working at an international organization and some program management experience. She/He should also obviously have a demonstrated interest in issues of child welfare.

Most critical to this position, the qualified candidate will possess advanced critical thinking and analytical skills and demonstrate an ability to apply such skills for tangible, impact-oriented outcomes. She/He should display excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively when writing and speaking, across cultures and at senior levels. Fluency in English and Serbian is required.
