VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – Project “ICAN Academy: Youth Supports Humanitarian Disarmament” under the EU Program Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Strategic Partnerships. (Partnership Convention no. 2014-2-FR02-KA205-9183)

ICAN Southeast Europe, represented by the Serbian affiliate of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons –  ICAN, a global campaign coalition working to mobilize people in all countries to inspire, persuade and pressure their governments to initiate and support negotiations for a treaty banning nuclear weapons, is mobilizing youth volunteers willing to participate in a project organized in partnership with ICAN France and ICAN Turkey.
The project titled “ICAN Academy: Youth Supports Humanitarian Disarmament” will involve young people and students willing to strengthen peace and security in Europe and in the world through the promotion of a humanitarian disarmament approach to nuclear weapons. It aims to educate youth about international humanitarian law, principles of humanitarian disarmament, but also to gain practical skills in project planning, management and campaigning. Youth will be supported to develop and tailor all the activities according to their needs, in coordination with youth partners from France and Turkey at all stages of the project.

If you have interest in peace and disarmament work, international relations, cultural exchange and building bridges between regions and cultures, combined with a solid knowledge of English and a good will to stay committed to the project for a period of 18 months, please get in touch! No previous experience is required, but if you have some, we will provide you with an opportunity to share it with your colleagues! Students and young persons aged 18-30, young women and men, are all encouraged to apply. If you are a student with disabilities and you are motivated to engage in the project, we will make sure that all accessibility requirements are met for you to take part in full in all project activities.
