Serbia: The contribution of youth organisations to active citizenship
As part of the People 2 People (P2P) programme we are announcing an open call for interested participants representing civil society organisations in a study tour regarding the involvement of youth organisations in active citizenship, which is to be held from 5th until 8nd March 2012 in Brussels.
The aim of this study tour is to give participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the EU acquis as well as the existing policies and programmes related to the topic of involving youth organisations in active citizenship, as well as to offer them exchange and networking opportunities among themselves and with other European-level and Member-State-level civil society organisations active in this field. National and, if possible, regional examples of policies and actions in this field could also be presented to the participants.
The EU Delegation in Serbia will select four civil society representatives to participate in this study tour. Participants will be selected from throughout Serbia, and advantage will be given to representatives of organisations working in the subject area, but who have limited experience in cooperation with the EU, so the study tour would bring them maximum benefit. Advantage will be given to youth organisations. Applicants need to be aware that one of the requirements for participation is an excellent working knowledge of the English language, as the programme of the visits is to be held exclusively in English.
We ask all interested participants to send us the following documentation, in English, at the latest by 30th January 2012, 17:00 hours:
- Letter of intent (free format, including suggestions and recommendations regarding your plans to help further distribute the knowledge gained on this study tour to other CSOs. An example is provided for you, but you are free to create and amend the format as you see fit),
- Participants Application Form,
- CV in the EU format,
- Letters of Recommendation (not obligatory, but will be considered an advantage)
The documents should be sent exclusively by e-mail to the following address: p2p.rs@tacso.org
Applications sent to other e-mail addresses or those sent after the stated deadline will not be taken into consideration.
